TIME recently compiled a pretty excellent list of 50 Great Youtube videos that is definitely worth checking out. Seeing them all there in one place, it makes me think about how much Youtube has been the truest advancement in the entertainment of the world during the last decade. Yes, we've seen these videos before, but most of them are still funny-- and equally hilarious are TIME's descriptions provided for each video.
My home state (and state of current residency), Alabama, is a heavy-hitting representative of internet idiocy, with two immortal videos landing themselves on the list. These, of course, are 'Leprechaun Sighting' from Mobile coming in at #33, and 'Flea Market Montgomery' coming in WAY up there at #11.
I actually remember seeing the Montgomery guy performing the song live during an intermission at Bottletree (one of Birmingham's most famous venues) a few years ago... Oh wait, somebody got the footage (Youtube once again):
