ome fireworks with the intent of wreaking havoc upon the atmosphere in appreciation of our country. We grabbed an assortment, but, to our surprise, it wasn't the gargantuan "artillery shells" that brought us the most enjoyment (although they were still awesome in their own right). Nay, it was actually the Twinkling Star that blasted its way into that special place in our hearts. The Twinkling Star was not an expensive device, nor did it look to be an especially formidable explosive. Essentially, it was like a cluster of somewhat more powerful Roman candles all stuck together like sticks of dynamite from some old western or Looney Toon.
When the fuse burned down, the Twinkling Star fired its first two projectiles straight into the air. "That's sort of cool: for a cheap firework," we thought. The next fired into the neighbor's yard. We all looked at one another as if to say, "that was weird..." when, suddenly, the mighty Twinkling Star fired the remainder of its rounds in our general direction. We ran like little girls. It was great.
